I marched for her. For my daughter, may she never endure the assault that I did. May she have a life, a little more free, and a little less patriarchal. May she never hear “that’s just the way he is” be a socially acceptable excuse for bad behavior.
Our daughters deserve to be respected and talked to like equals.
Let her never be afraid to voice her opinion or share her dreams. Let her always be courageous. Let no man harm her. And if anything should happen, let her talk about it and let justice be served.
It is the time in history for justice to be served and for women around the world to be heard.
It is time to march.
